However, there are various agreements that apply to large swathes of the Victorian public sector. One of them is the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2020. It contains information on the ranks, pay categories and other general terms of employment applicable to the relevant departments and agencies. The number of grades and the content of the grade scripters vary depending on the public sector organization and the current enterprise agreement. The adoption of changing priorities is essential to creating a safe and flexible employment environment in the public service. The parties recognized the importance of ensuring that employees could be used reactively to support government priorities. Companies with interest rate legislation can only be concluded if, on request, workers` benefits under the new enterprise agreement include annual wage increases, a new mobility payment, an increase in overtime and night work allowances, as well as more parental leave. All other agreements are considered non-major enterprise agreements. When departments and agencies receive a request for union consultation with an agreement on companies with only one interest, they must review these requests and respond to these requests and their proposed response to the government (through the CBU) for review. In every submission that seeks authorization, departments and agencies are at least expected to specify that these measures will improve job security within the VPS and provide more opportunities to advance your career, increase your skills and ensure that employment in the public service remains safe and flexible.
